Re: My BM

I can't seem to come up with a simple solution on this one. Tried the different ammo none clicked in, all the slide tolerances seem tight, muzzle setup seems tight, might be worth a recrown, Maybe the reason it looks so good is that out of its new box it didn't shoot and so it was returned to its box.

Saw one guy with lots of milurp, he had 4 swede carbines for 1k + ea, saw 2 or 3 MN91's, found a visitor with a m1917 Win with a Johonson rebbl, he would have liked $800 I offered $700 he said $750 and I passed then wished I had not and so it goes, tons of high priced stuff, I was looking for a Marl...

Re: he said you will love this

I agree with all of that, New York is a great state twisted by the big city. I guess you can't see my point. I was taken aback when it happen, I still feel it was a federal loop hole but this is not the only bs in my life, party on Garth...

Re: he said you will love this

My "guy" owns a gun shop that has at least ten salesman and does millions a year in business but whatever, I know New York is a pollical pisspot I was born there and my people farmed the Hudson river valley for 200 years. Its hard to imagine that states can circumvent federal laws or maybe...

Re: he said you will love this

This is Federal and not state by state. It all hinged on the fact that it was a trade and no money changed hands. The guy that did it knew his business and was not some sloppy deal so I guess you don't know either. Anyone else?

he said you will love this

Awhile ago I had accumulated two Ruger Blackhawk 4 1/2 in. in 357's and a new Ruger single ten ss 22 that I didn't like much. The Ruger Match Champion came out and I wanted a trade. My lgs was Mc Brides Guns in Austin and I had done business there for over 40 years. The gp100 was new and not readily...

Re: My BM

The pistols nice all right but…. I shot a box of cheap ammo and I don't know if it didn't like the steel cased 115 gr fmj because it was hitting over a foot high at 25 yrds and no grouping

First this came from the sweaty dealer that must never be named, in a cardboard box that did not match it serial number. If this Star has been fired it was only a couple of clips full. I like it a lot and am looking forward to shooting it. More on that later

Re: Classic firearms Mosin Nagants as low as $189

I just posted a less than 5 star , 4 star post on the Iver Johonson 10mm because the rear sight was not staked and came off in my hands, that's not terrible just a little sloppy, I would not send it back for that I can fix it, but so far they have not posted the review. bought an m39 Sako before the...

Re: Iver Johonson 10mm ported 1911

Once I find it the brass it will be put to work. One guy said in his review that the porting removed enough weight to make balance more like a five inch, I agree and muzzle flip is tamed but still present. I have not tried double taps yet that should settle that. I think a couple hundred need to run...

Iver Johonson 10mm ported 1911

My fascination with the pistol was the power inherent and ported option. The first thing I did was take a cut off jean cuff and lay both layers of cloth over the port. Shot fired scorched one side and ripped both layers. It has a nice trigger pull but no way to measure it seems less than 4lb.Shootin...
