Damn, a good muzzle crown and the works. Looks about almost maybe close to New! You got a GEM. Was that a select pick ?

Re: CMP 1911A1
You did very well on that. This is the first of the CMP offerings I've seen; Very nice!!!
I really wanted one but am unwilling to jump through the hoops to get it. IIRC the odds are slim to even get one and there is the limit of one forever. I'll sit back and wait for either someone to part with one or for the demand to level off. There's always next year.

Congratulations!!! That's a very nice CMP 1911.
I haven't received my lottery number yet, but they still have a way to go with the numbers. I'm hoping I make the initial cut.

Anybody else here been contacted by CMP? I haven't heard a word. Would be nice to know how far along they are with the selection process!

Re: CMP 1911A1
That's a real nice looking pistol. I have a Colt Series 80 Govt Model from 1984. I love it. It is my favorite single firearm in my possession without a doubt. I don't imagine I'll ever try for one of these due to the long process involved but I can see how owning one would sure be amazing. Congrats on getting such a nice one
