00 stamp on dragoon

00 stamp on dragoon

Just noticed this OO stamp on my dragoon. I can't find anything in the book or online. It is an SA marked dragoon. Has anyone seen this??

That's a early version of the black powder pressure proof stamp used starting in about 1922. It was replaced with the double O pressure proof stamp that has one O inside another in the early 1930's but they mean the same thing.

They represents eyes. The message was, "Uncle Joe is watching." ;)

That is the mark of Tubal, indicating that this is a rifle suitable for manly use.
