Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

I don't know if you folks have Mocking Bird up North, but They are a size bird that are about the same size as a Robin, but they think that they are still dinosaurs. I have seen Mocking Birds chase away Hawks and Eagles. When they are nesting they will attack anything that they think is getting too close to their nest, people included. I have had them hit me in the head.
We had a big fenced backyard where we kept my Boxer dog. There was a Mocking Bird nesting somewhere nearby and my poor dog got bombed, over and over by that bird. I thought it was funny as hell to watch a half pound bird attacking a 65 pound dog. It went on for several days. The bird would fly down and hit the dog in the middle of the back with her claws. I went out back one afternoon and there was Mockingbird feathers all over the lawn, and a very smug looking dog in the yard. One bomb run too many.
