Because the 94 bids took it over $5,000.
No words of wisdom come to mind at this time....

Yikes, I had no idea the AA or MG scopes were so expensive. I guess the big fish saw something they had to have for their collection & these things don't grow on trees?

I think I have a box of them in the shed, too much work to go look.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Not my sheds you didn't, first you would have to climb over the huge heap of snow and shovel out the door. Then you would be buried in the avalanche of shit that would cascade out the moment that door was opened. Why do you think I don't go in there.

If you look at ebay's history,

one sold for $199.99 (sold, but did not pay)
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Russian-Mosin-N ... 4ae75ccaaf

One listed for 499.99 (but did not sell, guess to high a price)
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Russian-Mosin-N ... 4ae67b77b7

And the one you posted that sold for $5101.00 (Something is fishy here)
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Russian-Mosin-N ... 4ae5f68f43

They all look identical. ????......D

One comment:
"Thought you might like to know. it's Chinese and used on the Chinese type 75-1 and type 80 14.5mm kpv anti aircraft gun. They are currently using these across the middle east."

Description:
"This listing is for a Russian Transit Scope that looks the same as a Mosin Nagant Scope. The lenses are tinted purple and this scope is super clear. It is marked T2 833 3200315. The last 2 pictures are not what is listed but just an example to show you what this scope is used for.It looks just like a Mosin Nagant scope only it is silver. The lenses are perfect and the scope is in good condition and is very heavy. I believe this to be a rare Russian Scope that is older Probably around WW 11 or even WW 1 era and used for some type of sighting in device like the one shown in the last 2 pictures. I do ship worldwide and any questions email me."

I think you may be on to something. I have seen things that go for crazy prices that make no sense. Regular things. Strange things happen on Flee-bay

Or it could be the platinum chain :chuckles:

When I run across items like this that are out of line I check the feedback, not the number, the kind of items they have bid or posted in the past. You can tell a lot about them be seeing what they buy or sell.

Unfrigginbelievable, I feel ashamed to even be human right now.
Oh wait, Nope, no that's not a new feeling.
Things could be worse. Work to keep from finding out how much worse.
