Well, I tried to send a box with two books in it to a friend in Canada two days ago. $33 plus. That was more then they could buy the books up there.

That and when things go through Customs, Man, it slows it down.

I can buy Korean (clean ammo with brass in Battle Packs) for about that price. But I'd rather get commercial.

Well, you have it on us "again" up in Canada.

Darryl
Yeah cross border shopping can get pricey.. Half a dozen years ago I ordered a nice nutmeg coloured stock from Boyds for a Savage Axis and after the tax, shipping, dollar exchange and duty I paid almost double the price of the stock. :o

As for ammo well maybe I should move closer to the border and invest in one of those drones.. j/k

9mm would be wasted on me, I own nothing that uses it. I made sure years back that I would never be low of anything I do use, including .30 carbine.

Very nice.
I have a 1943 Inland that has the late model peep sight, updated safety, round bolt, but no bayonet lug.
Back when I was getting hefty profit sharing bonuses at work I bought an Auto Ordnance reproduction of a first generation Carbine. L shaped flip rear sight, flat bolt, push button safety. It works just fine, I like it.

If you can find some Winchester 110 grain JSP rounds they are excellent defensive rounds. I managed to get "a few" boxes back when 50 rounds cost less than $20.
