First Day Cover - 65th Anniversary of the October Revolution

Post by Tula44 »

Along with military surplus I enjoy collecting WW2 and Cold War era stamps. I saw this first day cover for the 65th Anniversary of the October Revolution and went ahead and purchased it for the collection.

Anyone else here collect stamps?

Wow that is awesome, now you have me thinking about a display.

I collected stamps as a kid for about 8 years, need to find my folders/books as there are some Soviet, East German, Chinese and some other Com Bloc stamps in there. They would go nicely displayed with Com Bloc weapons.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Thank you! The good thing about collecting stamps / covers is that they're usually pretty inexpensive and you can get a collection going really easy. Each stamp has a story and history behind it, too. Some items you see and you know you just have to have it, I'm glad to have found this one. I like this first day cover and it would display nice with other Cold War era items.
