A little diligence searching and I found it at $263/case. (+$20 shipping)

Thanks for the heads up that another batch has shown up for sale.

So much for the Swiss were not releasing anymore of their stockpiles. Unless of course it is new production as some suggested they would be doing. What year are the cases marked? Where is the $283 shipped from? That is almost as cheap as I paid 6 months ago ($265 shipped).

So you spent 1200 bucks just because? Just because you can, or just because you like shooting it?

And just when ammo is becoming available again I suspect that it is about to get scarce again after Orlando

To interject something a little hopeful. I'm not seeing the kind of traffic and buying that we had after the last presidential election and the surge that happened after Newtown. It's picked up for sure and some vendors are now showing shipping delays but it's no where near what it's been in the past. I think people are feeling a bit more secure about things not being banned with knee jerk legislation though it's being called for. I'm seeing the same tired old stuff about AR-15s being the cursed "assault rifle" and one idiot reporter even went and purchased one, timing the sale saying it took her 7 minutes from the time she was asked if she needed help to the time the background check was completed. I find this highly unlikely since my FFL has told me in the last 4 or 5 years he's only had a hand full of people actually be approved when the sale was made. I know this because I've purchased a lot of rifles and used him for my transfers and always had to come back, sometimes a week later. All that tells me is this woman has a squeaky clean record and a name that doesn't resemble anyone else. Seven minutes for the whole sale? I ain't buying it. Now if congress starts talking about doing some sort of gun legislation that will most likely change. Anyway here's a chart to look at to see who has this ammo and it's self updating for those who don't know about them. You can go here for links to the vendors and by all means if something sells out please flag the deal as out of stock. http://gun-deals.com/list/ammo/7.5+Swiss

The last scare after Newtown went viral only after the proposed legislation concerning background checks on ammo purchases. That's when .22lr became hard as hell to find.

Hard to say if we see any new legislation in an election year.

And I gotta say; I wish I bought more GP11 back in the day.

Seems that the Swiss recently have released a fairly large lot of surplus GP 11. At the moment it is also plentyful again here in Germany (albeit at 60-63 euro cents/round + shipping, depending on the quantity ordered) after a longer period where it was pretty difficult to find. Lot years here are early/mid 1980s.

There was just a ton of GP11 that has made it's way to the market. All the usual suspects have it now.

I'm pretty happy with reloading this round, and since it takes a common .308 bullet I have been able to come up with some nice shooting loads.

looking for 8mm Mauser, 7.5 Swiss, and 7.62x54R brass
