Made a trip out of town and a fellow collector on another forum invited me to visit his gun shop. I found this one on his rack and being its a 1944 Mosin Nagant and a bit odd I had to add it to the growing colection of 1944's.
It's your typical mix master refurb, re-stamped matching built on a 1932 Tula reciever, the barrel had its 1932 date scrubbed in 1944 ( on the 3rd pic you can just make out the "32" under the 44), and was MO stamped for 1949 & 1950, and re-arsenaled by the infamous /25\ arsenal.
