Re: My first 1903 Springfield (I've wanted one for 20 years)
Thanks for all the help everyone. Will report back. I do love this rifle. The bolt is so smooth compared to a Mosin, but Mosin's still have a special place in the collection :) Side note - I haven't really shopped for milsurps in a while. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THE PRICES? I have an Ishevsk 1944 all ...

Re: Enemy at the Gates / Ron Perlman
Given my low opinion of most of Hollywood's " performers", I would not seek many of them out for any reason let alone putting their names on my gear. I don't know this particular actor, what kind of person he might be off camera, hopefully not one of the anti gun, anti America crowd who p...

Re: My first 1903 Springfield (I've wanted one for 20 years)
150 yards for a full power .30 military cartridge is like using a super car to go down the drive to fetch the mail. These rifles were designed to reach out and touch things at 250-300 yards or longer. Use the six O'clock hold on the target, or aim for the belt to hit the chest. You could swap out th...

Re: M39 no shims and not free floated
Many of these M39's passed through the hands of the Burn's family in NY some 20 years back. I remember hearing storys about how they were pulling actions out of stocks looking at the tang dates on the receiver hoping for pre 1899 dates that they would then sell for more money as no FFL was needed to...

Have the actor sign a copy of the movie, not the real weapon given that he is not a real Soviet Great Patriotic war sniper.

By the look of the markings on the stock someone was in one hell of a fight against an edged weapon. Sword, blade bayonet, or E-tool maybe. Cool

Re: Mosin Nagant bolt won’t close
Hello, I bought a mosin and i can't close the bolt with round (without it roons smoothly). It feeds it into the chamber without issue, but cant rotate it more than a little bit. I removed the extractor but the problem is still there. I cleaned the bolt and receiver with WD40 but it didnt help. I ca...
