Re: Enemy at the Gates / Ron Perlman
Using a famous person's signature to make a buck for yourself is a bit distasteful, don't you think? Kind of disrespectful to the rifle, too.

Re: I got all excited about this one, until I started smelling rat.
People fall for that stupid crap all the time. You never Cash App or Venmo for a gun or any other product because there is no guarantee they will actually send you the item. Even PayPal has better protections than those apps. You want a middleman who will reimburse your money then send their goon sq...

Re: New User Needs Help Identifying PU Sniper!
Authenticity and originality are two different things and mean different things to different people. It's been refurbished and parts have been replaced, but they were replaced with parts from other sniper rifles or with replacement parts made by the USSR military repair depots. The work was performe...

Re: Need Help On Mosin Sniper Rifle
It's a real 1943 PU barrel and a real 1944 PU scope, matched together by a USSR repair depot. That makes them authentic. PU's had their scopes replaced in service all the time. Looks like your rifle is on its third scope. The receiver, stock, scope mount, and bolt are questionable without better pho...

Re: Ruger Mark IV
The Ruger standard automatic and every newer version of it is one of those guns liked even by people who don't like guns.
I got mine from my uncle who said, "I have a German pistol for you, to go along with your German rifle". Neither gun was German, of course, but I'm not complaining.

Thunder, lightning, hail, tornadoes, floods, draughts... I say, let the Israelites go!!! I live in the southwest. We're just going to dry up, heat up, burn up, and finally blow away in the wind. Hail is my least favorite. I hate hail so much. I lived through baseball-sized hail in Colorado one time ...

I think a blast of automotive brake cleaning solvent followed by a wipe dry and a thin coat of oil should fix them right up.

I have much less experience than others on this forum, but I'll give you my opinion. The worst I can be is wrong and the experts will correct me, but since they have not spoken yet I might as well. The scope mount holes in the receiver look like fresh, white steel inside like they were drilled and t...

Re: Why the Mosin Nagant?
I didn't even know that surplus guns were a thing. I just wanted a Winchester model 70 .30-06. I'd outgrown shooting .22lr and wanted to step up to larger cartridge that had some longer range accuracy and power. I'd always liked the wood and blued steel of older guns. My friend bought a 1942 91/30 f...

Re: Gun show.......
I went to a good size gun show in my area today. There was lots of ammo, just not cheap. 22lr and 9x19 was practically falling off the tables. Most handgun ammo was about $0.70 per round, including 1000 round cans of reloaded stuff. I didn't see any 7.62x25, 38r, or 54r. Some 39. Lot of revolvers, l...

Re: Glock 43X
No argument from me. Glocks are awesome guns. When my dad decided recently to buy his first handgun, primarily for personal defense, I suggested a Glock 19 gen-5 MOS, and that's what he bought.
I prefer .357 Sig or .40, but I couldn't talk him into those.

Re: Any improvement?
My dad bought two Glocks last year and almost 1000 rounds for them. Took a while and some patience, but he did it. The gun stores around here have secret stashes of ammo that they reserve for people buying new guns from them or for hunters. You can show them your tag and they'll pull out a box of so...
