stamps on underside of barrel?

I noticed stamps on the underside of my barrel the other day while cleaning it. The one that stands out was 2300. It's there an explanation for these numbers?

Re: RANGE TIME!

The 100 yard mark is generally a real challenge to a rifle the first few times and a small flinch can mean many inches at that distance too. Collecting is easy as all it takes is money and free time! Shooting is another story it takes patience, time, and effort on the part of the shooter and not ma...

RANGE TIME!

Took the '42 Izhevsk to the range with my buddy and his .303. These are my last 18@50 yards. Shot in about 5 minutes since I have to pick up my son. Got another pic on the way.

Re: Deer Hunters

I have a friend with a private game hunting preserve and just today we were talking about some does he needs to cull out. IF the culling happens at a time I'm available I'll take a '36 Tula 91/30 and my '42 M38 with PPU 150ng SPBT bullets. Range will only be 125 yds or less and I see no reason to e...

That's the use I was thinking, while on stand. I'd carry my shotgun or .30-.30 in the thick stuff.

Re: Gander Mtn. Report.....sticker shock!!!!

When I started looking for mine I went to gander mountain since that's where my co worker got his. $179.99 all very rough shape, all 91/30. So I went to fleet farm. Felt better for a very nice condition 91/30 @ $139. Went beck early last week and they were down to $124.99....wanted to get another, ::)

Re: First Mosins

Just got my first a few weeks ago. A guy at work was taking to new about them. I started researching, feel in love with the history of the rifle and went and picked up my first '42 Izhevsk. Nothing special, but it's special to me because it's my first, and it is in pretty good condition ! http://i57...

Re: First Mosins

My first Mosin and firearm ever. No big story really. After months of research, I came across the Mosin and fell in love with the ugly thing. Local gun store had $99 sale. So I went and grabbed a box. I got this and guess it's a good one ;) http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/29/zejuja9e.jpg Sent from ...

Re: Spam can prices

A little conflicted here.. I have three unopened spam cans. Feel like I should get more while the prices are where they are at. At the same time, if I do that, I'm contributing to the markup.. Where would you guys draw a line for a spam? People aren't going to quit buying out, and the prices won't ...
