Re: Waiting on the AC guy....
Most modern homes are not designed to be livable without AC. Buildings constructed in earlier eras were built with hot summers and cold winters in mind depending on the climate in the area. Back then I am sure there are some very hot parts of the country that they would never have built anything in...

Re: RMNF Forum Moving Forward
Ron when Jim contacted me About Darryl's passing I was in shock. I haven't been around as much as I used to but this place has always been home for me. You guys have been good to us at gun-deal.com too. Chuck was the first person I met on here when I was first posting links to deals from our site in...

Re: ******Members please read******
To say I'm in shock is an understatement. Darryl was the main reason we have this forum, keeping it running all these years. I'm still processing this but I can't believe it.

Re: Are Mosin front-sights durable?
The front sight was used as anchor point for the bramit silencer as well. It would have been a very bad idea if the front sights weren't strong enough. I haven't seen, or heard about a broken one as well... Oh I have, but that one was the result of someone hitting it with a hammer trying to loosen ...

Re: Labor Day
Have a great labor day everyone. I plan a quiet one at home with some burgers and dogs on the grill.  Same to you Jim! Had a quiet day around here. It's cooled down a bit form the 105+ degree days but it's still too hot to do much outside. Everything here is dry as a popcorn fa...

Same here in Louisiana, like an oven when I open the door. When I lived in the central valley of California it would get to 112 and 114 and that was real temps. The humidity was a lot lower then the 70% to 80% it is here but it was still like an oven. Plus I was an auto tech and had to go out and g...

Re: We lost our cat.....
Bob was 14 almost 15 when he passed. He came from a litter that a stray cat had in our garage, in fact we had 3 strays show up and drop litters in our garage. He had a good life, was spoiled beyond words. Miss the furball, I swear I hear him at times in the house, IE tapping at the door to go in th...

Re: We lost our cat.....
Sorry to hear about your buddy. I have a bobtail (Manx) cat that was a very young feral kitten my mom took in when she lived here that's about 16 years old. They have medical issues mostly related to the genetic defect that causes them to have little to no tail but that's mostly related to their kid...

Re: Rain!!!
When I lived in Tracy we had a few really bad floods. Remember Rodeo the dog that was stranded on the roof of a house outside of town? Most of the surrounding area around the town and the central valley is a flood zone and the main reason it doesn't flood is the levee's. When they let loose like the...

Re: Just what's do I have
The 77-188 means they were made at the Russian Novosibirsk factory in 1977 and as Darryl said the ЛПС means it's Steel Core. The paint on the tip of the bullets and can are nothing more than color coding so the user knows what the bullet is and has no bearing on quality. Some factories during certai...

Re: Stainless M44
The second picture looks really nice. You can see they did a good job on it. If the blueing was removed and polished. Wouldn't it rust? I've had this gun for about 20 yrs and there isn't a speck of rust. I took it out and shot it when I first bought it and it shoots nice won't jam or misfire or any...

I understand where you guys are coming from. And I'm glade you guys take pride in your work. I don't have the answers and that's why I ask. I don't mean to be stubborn but can you look at the pictures I attached and confirm it's been chromed. I have to admit I don't know how things get chromed but ...

Re: Stainless M44
OK, the Soviets never made a stainless steel M44. ever. What this is would be a chrome plated M44 done by a bunch of Bubba's over at Classic arms a decade or more ago. The outfit changed hands at some point so the current owners are not responsible for this sort of crap. They took a perfectly good ...

Re: Bulgarian spam can issue?
Ah in the chamber I see (probably wording this wrong) looks like a chip in the chamber with some looser metal sticking up. This is right where it gets smaller right where It would line up with the neck on the round. So I imagine that is what is causing the issues then as you guys have stated. So be...
