Absolutely beautiful and with some great markings! You are going to love shooting this one...hang on tight! These have a reputation for shooting a little high. Use an oversized target at 100 yards to see where the bullets are hitting. Looking forward to the range report!

It sounds like you want a solid utility rifle to use once in awhile but that wont get too much use. If this is the case then I wouldnt spend $1000 (or equal in trade) on a top of the line AK. That sounds like a good day of shooting! I like to get bigger targets and them move THOSE closer. The 91/30 is a pleasure to shoot and the ammo wont break the bank.

This is a great post illustrating why it is so important to detail strip these wonderful old rifles before shooting them. Who knows what these rifles have been through and how they were handled. I am sorry to hear about your rifle but I am glad you didn't get hurt. Thanks for the post!
