One I was looking for.

Found this one at a gun show about 2 years ago. Matching numbers on bolt and connector. Not perfect but then most of these are rough.

Any thoughts on the originality of this sling setup? Or is this a post import add on?

Re: Thoughts on the SAM7R-61

If it's just the Arsenal website price I still may be in the game as I can get a new one for under $1000 out the door(below dealer cost). I'm wondering if it's a good buy even at this price. We had them out at a gun show this past weekend and while sales were brisk these weren't exactly flying off t...

Thoughts on the SAM7R-61

Anybody have any thoughts on this one? I might pick one up but they seem to be slow sells and I was wondering why.

Re: 36 28/30

Good find Brad! I'm sure you got it at a great price.

I can't remember the explanation at the moment or if I ever knew for sure but not very many of these M28/30's have had the serial number placed on or added to the stock, maybe someone else can chime in with that information.

Re: 1932 VKT M27

Nice rifle. The information on Mosinnagant.net suggest that your numbers are off unless there is some distinction between numbers ordered and numbers produced by date? Although the information may be a little sketchy as mentioned on that site the known serial number range information suggest that th...

Re: Matching 1945 M44 No import marks.

Really nice rifle, early imports placed the import marks discreetly on the end of the barrel, check there? Understood, I really tried to find anything resembling an import mark or scrubbing prior to buying it, it just isn't there. :D Nice looking rifle!! How does it shoot? Haven't shot it but if th...

Re: M27 should I buy it?

C'mon, Aussie! You're killing me here!! Hold your horses! Just picked it up today after weeks of painful anticipation. Overall, it looks like it has been in service. Lots of dings and the barrel is pretty much shot out. It's got the ski trooper sling swivels and the bolt appears to be matching too ...

Re: My Christmas rifle, 1940 M27.

:vcool: :vcool: :vcool: I like the character on this one. Nice find. Winged bolt? They stopped using the winged bolt connectors in 1933 or with 1933 dated M27 rifles, that's not to say you won't see some weird/oddball things, at one time I owned an M24 with the slots for the winged connector in the...

In the picture you can see the partial outline of the rest of the AZF, it was either lightly struck or partially scrubbed, I'd vote on the latter.

M27's were made with barrel dates between 1927-1940.
