1st post own 2 mosins atm and have owned 6 total. Current 2 are 1925 tula all original numbered rifle with bayonet. and 1926 Izhevsk with non matching stock outta the crate no bayonet.
Love the way a Mosin shoots and feels. Been my Deer gun since I was 12 lol

I just threaded the ATI kit screws into the holes till flush. Then lopped the tops off and sanded them smooth and reblued the entire gun afterwards. And found that the rear site scope mounts hold true the best! Good luck with the hackjob should shoot fine still. Love my Mosin sbr for deer in the riv...
