I would bet the 300-850 markings are just a one off variation of the Finnish metric graduations. Any other Finnish marks/traits?
Looks like a nice early Dragoon!

Re: Transitional 91/30
Pretty cool! For some reason this rifle reminds me of the the post SCW rebuilds. However what puzzles me is the billboard important mark. The SCW Mosins were all brought back in the 50-60s. Yet I have come across several of these over the years. Early 30s dates, billboard import, reblued ...

Re: Dragoons
Some very nice Dragoon rifles there!
I really like the one without the early non-crossbolt stock and handguard. Took me a long time to find one with an early type 2 handguard.

Re: Matching 91/30’s
They can be pretty elusive, however they are out there. Most of mine were finds at gun shows. But I have found several on Gunbroker and there is one listed now as I type this. Just takes a careful look at the pics and be willing to look at every listing. I just purchased an original matching Dragoon...

Re: Converted M91 > 91/30's
I believe it is now thought that these conversions to 91/30 were done by Soviets during WW2 as an emergency effort to reuse older but still mostly serviceable weapons. Only later after refurbishment they were given as aid to Romania due to their being “non standard”.

Re: Finish capture 91/30 1941
Pretty cool to see rough wartime 91/30s captured by the Finns! Does the stock have a screwed in escutcheon in the rear or is it just the wartime slot? Any cartouches visible? Thanks for sharing
