Fishing Trips are awesome

Post by Kilroy »

Was gone for the last 3 days.

Drove 5 hours with my dad to Diamond Lake, in Oregon, stayed overnight, spent the entire Tuesday fishing, and returned home today.

I spent the entire first half of the day switching around lures and baits with no luck, my grandpa (who was on the trip with us) caught 2 fish around 12 inches, then we went in for lunch.

After lunch (Around 3:30pm) we went back out in the boat and did some trolling on the south end of the lake, I went through my lures and just went with the oldest lure I had.

It was a VERY Old brass triple teaser, rust spots on it, and a dent in it. I threw my line into the water and within 2 minutes I hooked my first fish, got it into the boat, it was about 18", put it on the stringer, and pretty much the second I threw my line BACK into the water, snagged another fish, around 18-19", this continued 2 more times until I had a total of 4 fish that were 18-22" all in the span of about an hour.

So the lesson to learn from this, never throw a lure away, you never know what will work.

Had a fantastic time.

The wost day fishing/shooting/golfing/whatever still beats the best day at work
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Let me make a short, open, blanket comment. There are no good guns. There are no bad guns. Any gun in the hands of a bad man is a bad thing. Any gun in the hands of a descent person is no threat to anyone--- except bad people. -- Charleton Heston

Guns are not good, they are not evil. Save those descriptions for the people holding the firearm. -- Unknown
