The local gunshop I go to that has Milsurp rifles, has a very beat T53 for something like $600. I do not know what he thinks is special. Most of his other milsurps beyond Mosin's are reasonably in line with what they should be.

Also, 7.62x54R is the cheapest milsurp round to shoot by far .60 cents a round roughly right now for commercial ammo, which is actually cheaper than .308 win by a margin and cheaper than 30-06 by a larger margin
