Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

Hello,
One of my Fathers favorite days of the year...
That old fart would even load up the motorhome and drive down too Camp Pendleton for the celebrations, even into his late 70s. Ballsy old fart. He'd hookup down at the beach rv area on base, just north of the powerplant; south end of the base. Plenty of days camping there as kids, when state side.
A diehard Marine he was, made it to 84. Two Purple Heart and the Bronze Star, awarded in Korea.
God bless his sole.

The Pacific and Band of Brothers are both awesome mini-series. My wife got both of them for me, and when there is nothing to do, we'll hook up the DVD player and make a weekend of watching one of the series.

Funny how Band of Brother is. Can't just watch one episode... Then before you know it you have, yet again, watched the whole series...

Yup I've seen Band of brothers several times and everytime we watch it we pick up little things that we missed before.

Another show we watched several times is Saving Privat Ryan.

Saving Private Ryan IMHO is the best war movie ever made. I close my eyes for some scenes however. Brings back memories I don't care for. That said... this is war with all it's glory and all it's horrors.
