3 Prong Suppressor?

Post by ffuries »

On the M16 or AR is there a proper orientation for the 3 prong suppressor?

I'm in the process of getting parts together for an Faux M16 (USAF 604 slab side) build, found a pencil profile, barrel with all the parts installed (front sight, triangular handguard cap, etc). Barrel is threaded for the suppressor.

So was wondering if there is a proper orientation or does it just end up however it stops.......

Found the slab side upper with the complete bolt carrier also. So I'll need the barrel installed and get a gas tube, and I'll need to get the triangular handguards and then I'll have a complete faux slab side upper ready to install on a lower.

Just going back and forth on the lower, the 604 used an A1 buttstock (No trapdoor) and the A2 lowers onward if I am remembering correctly had the trapdoor buttstock. So either I have to find an A1 style buttstock or just say the hell with it and use a complete A2 style lower.
