I've never seen those before. All I have are a couple of original head space gauges..

I suppose they're used at the manufacturing centers. Then the shank gets another stamp...

Its used when you dont know if the bolt or chamber (usually cosmoline baked in) is out of spec. Like when your go gauge wont close on the bolt. This tool would be used next.
