New to me 1894 Tula

Post by vandeda »

It's a Balkan scrub, but I'm definitely happy with it and can't wait to take it out in a few weeks. I apologize, I realize my picture taking skills aren't great, especially in the basement with lowish light.

That is a nice Mosin with clear Balkan features. Don't apologize for your photos. They are very good.

Thanks for posting.

Looks nice - lots of interesting Balkan traits.
I'm curious about the M crown mark. I looked on 7.62x54.net, but didn't see one. Anyone know what specific country/King that represents?

It's weird, I cannot modify my original post, but I can edit my 2nd post .... I would have made the edit that I was corrected on the tang and that that is not a date, but Cyrillic letters ЕБ. So the receiver date is unknown.
