SKS

Post by sonney »

I now have a complete Russian SKS thanks to E-Bay. I needed a cleaning rod, bayonet, and rear spring cover. The furniture on this rifle is in good shape and the barrel is bright with strong grooves. In Canada this rifle would sell for around 250.00 but here in the states it goes for a lot more due to Obama import halt. I was wondering what something like this is worth in our market today. Can't due pictures or I would.

I bought a Tula a few months ago and paid $450.00 OTD. I am not sure if it was a fair going price or not, however I was happy with it.

Most examples of the Russian SKS are found as original matching or refurbished to match. With the replaced top cover, yours will never be either.

Original matching are $600 to $1,000-plus, with an average around $750-800.

Refurb matching are $400 to $600, with an average around $450.

Non-matching are usually under $400
No words of wisdom come to mind at this time....
