Hey,

Hoping all goes well, knee replacements anymore are a walk in the park for most surgeons anymore pretty routine accourding to my wife who is a surgical billing manager for a surgery group, usally have you up and moving same day and somtimes even home the sme day or the next if no complications which hardly occur anymore. SO should be smooth sailing for Bill,,,,, anyway, he will probably be able to sprint down range to check targets allot faster,,,,,,,,lol

Take care bill...

Good luck Bill. Don't stay in Pittsburgh too long. You don't want to become a Steeler fan....

Woooohoooo! Go Bill, GO!

Hey maybe after everyone recovers we can have the first RMNF road trip, eh? Cross the country picking up all those elusive rv's and Cossacks, and Artillery Carbines! And No4 snipers

Good luck Bill, put a big magic marker X on the knee to be fixed to be sure they don't fix the wrong one. Not joking about that.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Don't matter to him, both are bad, and will be replaced eventually!

Sometimes they "fix" the wrong body parts   best to have a local anesthetic and keep an eye on what they are doing.

With the anesthesia they use now days, in ten seconds, you wouldn't give a damn what they worked on. I was "awake" when they did my catatract work, but I couldn't have said "shit" if they dropped a platter of it in my face.

Everyone involved in the surgery, from the building custodian to the surgeon, must have asked ten times prior to surgery which eye was to be worked on. They also put a temporary "tatoo" over the correct eye, before I was doped. While not all doctors are "brain surgeons", most have gotten the message about not taking off the wrong leg. Now days, you are safer in surgery, than in skate boarding in Manhatten rush hour traffic, drunk and blindfolded.

Best of luck for a quick recovery, Bill.

Just don't let them put a left knee part on the right leg, or vise versa. Best wishes to Bill for quick recovery.

Who's close enough to sneak Bill in a bucket of fried chicken and a six pack past the hospital food Gestapo?

I'll do it, I could claim it's medicinal for myself. Except for the beer, how'd I explain that..?

Simple. Beer will dull the pain and relax the patient. :chuckles: :chuckles:

Thanx Guys!!

Just in case I hit a home run on the life's bucket list yesterday!!! I rode in the Red Nose Commemorative Air Force P51D for about 1/2 hour at the Reading Airport's Air Show and WW2 Day. I am sore and tired but oh so happy from the 250MPH cruise speed and 3G turns. My neck and back feel like somebody beat on me with a ballpeen hammer for a whole day. Even the "Bowels" of this old body are compacted I think!!!

Guess what I took no pictures and I had the camera strapped to my hand the whole trip!!! I was so excited I totally forgot till we landed do you believe that!! They got a couple of shots of me in the back jump seat before we took off but that and some pics of the plane will be all I have, Oh and we got a shot of me and the pilot too after the flight. I told him to take it easy and we did as I am not sure after not being up for over 15 years just what this old body would take and I did want to at least make the surgery in one piece too. Wow I am so, so sore it is hard to believe how those guys train and stay fit for the modern jet aircraft rigors. Again Thanks for the good wishes and we shall see if I am dancing in a month or what. Everybody says the pain is really bad but it is the means to the end though. See Yah All in Awhile I hope! Bill
