Pretty sure I didn't post this yet. Just got this a very short time ago. Perfect bore and the steel is just about perfect as well. No pitting or anything and all the numbers match except the bolt. (if you got mine and I got yours send me a pm, pretty long odds but hey worth a shot.) The stock has the serial number cut into the wood in the barrel channel and again under the receiver.

Thing was packed with grease and took a little while to clean up. Shoots really nice and seems to like Bulgarian light-ball a lot. 150 bucks from a local mom and pop shop. He had a 55 as well, if he still has it I'm gonna grab it next time I get payed. It had a darker stock and the finish was not as nice but the bore was just as good.

Just testing out the new camera too. Seems to be good enough.

That really is a nice '54. Seems like a bunch of 1954s have been showing up. Here is a lower number. Just got this one two days ago. Not cleaned yet.

Wow! Very nice looking Type 53!! Both the wood and the metal look really clean compared to so many I've seen or owned. Great job!!

Thanks guys. It shoots pretty nice too. Just free hand at 20 yards I put 5 shots in a tiny little group. Obviously it's hard to tell how well the rifle shoots overall with just 5 rounds at 20 yards, it does look promising.
