Traded for 2 rifles tonite

Post by jdolinski »

I traded a pistol I had that I wasn't using for these 2 mosins,
1 1942 M38
2 1945 M44

Both are in excellent condition and I am very pleased. Both have beautiful bluing and the stocks are in almost perfect condition
They are both counter bored and the bores are bright and shiny with great rifling.

Here are some Pictures I got from the seller, I will take some myself as soon as it stops raining.
What do you think

Is that a extra cross bolt on the m44, or a knot or ding maybe? Looking at em a second time, those are some nice carbines.

That is an additional cross bolt, and it is not a laminate stock, I was surprised too.

Wow, they really wanted that stock to stay together.

I've never seen 3 cross bolts on a rifle, but their again I'm rather a novice to the USSR procedures
