Taylor & Co. Uberti Gunfighter
Since I started collecting a few more black powder revolvers my revolver interest has grown to the point I could not stand it any longer and added a Peacemaker to my collection. This is the Taylor’s Gunfighter model, meaning that they put the larger grip frame on it from the standard 1860 Colt Army rather than the smaller 1873 grip. I sure do enjoy shooting it but have only had the pleasure of putting a dozen rounds through it due to a shortage of the big 45 Colt rounds. I need to get some loaded up ASAP. It is not quite as beefy as my Ruger Blackhawk but I’ll stick to cowboy loads in this one. Notice the difference in size between the 2 revolver’s
grips.

Nice! You got the leather gunfighters rig for that? Few, if any real gunfighters used that drop rig outside of Hollywood, Wild Bill carried two revolvers stuck in his sash. Uberti is part of Beretta now, they made good shit before the merger, and continue to do so.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Very nice I've got three Uberti's - one in each of the barrel lengths. I really like this one from Taylors and the grip. The Uberti grips are highly polished and tend to slip when you shoot them. I've been thinking about removing the finish on them. I load for mine too and use Trail Boss. Can't go wrong with that powder. And the cowboy rounds are reloadable. Is the Ruger in .45 or .357? Either way I like it.

It is in 45 Colt. Trailboss is what I like too. I have 3 bottles but all of a sudden it seems this to be hard to find again. If I get another is like a 7.5” barrel. I wouldn’t mind changing out the grip finish to a satin oil rub finish. I’ll be glad when these are more available again. Covid has had the Italian manufacturing screwed up for too long

Does the Taylor pistol have 4-click cocking?

Two of my Uberti's are like this. They are Cattlemen II versions - the latest they are manufacturing. My original Cattlemen with the short barrel had 4 clicks as the original Colts did. I really like that Blackhawk though You could probably load up some pretty stout rounds for that one.
