Two somewhat uncommon Izhevsk ex-snipers

Post by racerguy00 »

I grabbed up these refurb 91/30s when I had the chance. Being first year of production for the PU and the huge amount of combat losses 42 date ex snipers dont turn up that often in my experience. Post war examples seem to be thin on the ground too.

Both have been converted back to standard infantry configuration during refurb. Both have wartime stocks, are force matched, etc., the standard refurb treatment.

“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Nice find Dave, the 47 is early in the production run sir. Both my 47's, PU ( 24**) and Ex (15**) are somewhat higher in s/n than yours.
