My first sniper.

Post by Jesse »

Hi all, been a while since I’ve posted. Been keeping an eye on the mosin scene in Australia and after patient waiting I scored this today.

Dealer claims TOZ got them from Russian armoury, cleaned them up and exported them.

I’ll let the photos do the talking and let you be the judge! ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage17b57445bc7e7d61a69564fc9786b9d8.jpg[/IMG]ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

One of your pictures, I can read "made in Russia".
I have seen the same sentence on other mosin nagant sniper. Can you tell me the signification ? Is it real or false sniper ?
thank you

It is a real sniper. One of the last imported to the US from Russia. It's a Tulsky batch and imported by them.

Look up Tulsky at the bottom of this page. Made in Russia is one of the items printed onto it during export and was a requirement for that batch of rifles.

Congratulations on that one, definitely worth waiting for. Mine came in the same box labelled "hunting carbine" and has all the same markings. We both have the early style strap inserts too. Yours is a nicer example though and retains the scope number (struck out). Mine is ground away instead.
Please let us know how well she performs.

Congrats on a nice pick up
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

I'm jealous.

That is a really nice little sheet of all the proofs and markings.
I'm just here for the free coffee mug and tee shirt. :vcool:
