Trying to decode this old war horse. Been searching Google for the various markings like the small k and the crown shown in the picture. Then there's this on the stock. One hundred and twenty one years of stories locked up in the old girl.

I'm still in shock that I found one of these rifles here in Butt Crack ILL ? Town of 3500 has two gun shops and one had a 120 year old Sestroryetsk ? I've never stumbled on anything even close to this before. Sorry to go on like this, been trying to wrap my head around how a Finn captured Russian rifle ended up here? Bet the story is amazing, I'll stop now and get back under my rock.

I still haven't found my 7.62 Okie Headspace gauges so I don't know if mine's a shooter or not. Looking at the bore I'm thinking it may be more of a wall hanger than shooter but until I find my damn gauges it's a mystery. I know the 7.62's were not stored with the .303 gauges ( I found that set ) Anyone else ever do that ?
