Hello.
I don't yet own any complete Mosin Nagants, but my family has just an M28 (which was later in the late 1930's modified to M28-30 according to my grandfather) bolt and receiver w/parts from my great-grandfathers civil guard rifle. He apparently hid it in 1944, but in parts, and the stock, its parts and barrel are nowhere to be found (or then we didn't search properly).
I'm trying to get the lacking parts for it, and that's why I stumbled upon this forum.

If the barrel is out of the receiver, you are probably not gonna have much luck.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Hello all, new member here but not new collector. Have been collecting for over 35 yrs, so have a couple. My starting interest was US made contract rifles abroad which of course includes M91's, but has branched out over the years. Looking forward to enjoying this site.--Tim

My name is Sam and I am retired from an LE background but am trying to forget it and be a grey man and bow hunt, rifle shoot and ride bicycles and carry my Glocks and collect Mosins. I only have three but one is a capture and I shoot mine and leave em just like they were when they were in the field in the hands of the Finns or the Reds or whomever. I am a former 1911 pistol smith from a well known Berryville Ar shop but did the first 31 in a car/then went gunsmithing. I hunt with my Mosins and am a dead eye dick..lol. Here is a deal you may know about?

I have astigmatism and wear single vision in the woods. My Mosins are so long I can see the front sight! LMAO :chuckles: I cannot see the front on my 94 Win so I smoke em hogs and deer Yotes or whatever wid de Mosinnnnnnnnnnnnnns,------------ :big shock: Thanks for letting me be here?

Hi all. New guy here. I have a pretty decent number of the various MN varieties, figured I am in the right place for other like minded collectors. I know enough to know I have a lot to learn still.

I'm a true noob. This is my first post here. I acquired a Mosin Nagant M44 (Hungarian) from my brothers friend for like 100 bucks. I ended up spending maybe 20 bucks on it to get a spring for the bayonet and a new rear sight leaf. I'm just hear to get basic info about how to care for it, best way to sight it in and what kind of scope to get for. (just ordered the Brass Tacker scope mount because I couldn't bare the thought of permanently modding it).

New here, recently got a 1939 Finnish capture Tula 91/30 and I'm hoping I can find the information I need here! At the the moment I'm just trying to find a replacement screw for the front metal sling hanger for my Mosin because it was really stripped when I got it..

All you guys that have several, is there anything your looking for? Some of us have 2-4 of the same rifle, Some of us trade rifles now and then. Don't be afraid to put some WTB, sell, or trade, on that Forum
