It looks great in the advertising picture. How did you find it? Have you shot it yet?

I found it on gunbroker, of course

Been too rainy to shoot but soon. Got some moon clips coming...

Not an advertising picture. I make these "cards" for all my guns. My C&R log (one from Amazon) has a space for pictures. So, I decided a long time ago to create ID pictures for my guns.

You certainly did a good job with your picture. It looks like a catalog entry for a high end sales company. Let us know how it shoots!

Well, got some moon clips and took it out for a trial run. I'm not much of a pistol shooter. Most seemed to go low left. I'm working on that though. These grips were made for a guy with larger hands than me I think :) But, I will say, it's a blast to shoot. Lots of interest at the range. Most guys are shooting slide guns. I have only one of those and have concentrated on SA and DA wheel guns. I have found that the moon clips are a POA. Mine are the 6 cartridge type. Maybe the 3 cartridge clips would be better. I have decided to move to .45 auto rim. Bought a box of it and some brass. The stuff wasn't cheap but I've seen is advertised at $2 a round, so I did pretty good at .50 cents. I will reload the auto rim. Save the ACP brass for a future 1911 if CMP ever acquires the surplus inventory and begins to sell them.

They make de-mooning tools that make that part of it less of a hassle. full moon clips are the best type of speedloader made. Auto Rim brass is harder to find, but costs the same as ACP to reload. Actually a little less, as you can load 'em down and not worry about function. Colt's M1917 is my favorite .45ACP revolver.

I've got one of the de-mooning tools. Works great. It's getting the bullets in the clip which is the hard part. Tough on the fingers. But it gets easier over time. Agree on the fastest speed loader.
