Another addiction?

Post by willyj73 »

I may be picking up a second addiction along with my Finn addiction. Just received this today. I have to say, I really like FN Mausers.

Very nice one. I must warn you Mauser addiction is much more expensive than Finn addiction.

I like all the contract Mausers German, FN, Czech doesn't matter. I especially like the crests. That one looks super clean. My recommendation is to get the FN Mauser book it is excellent. However I must also warn you your want list will expand immediately upon opening the book.

Yeah, I probably don't need to be looking at a book full of nice Mausers...I'd be broke in no time.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Another Holy Moly!

This looks unissued. I made the same mistake when I purchased my first Mauser - nothing this nice. But something in the back of my mind said... "don't do it... don't do it..." I knew what would happen but I bought it anyway. The rest is history - Mausers everywhere...

I actually found this on an auction. The auction had quite a few Mausers. I was hoping the auction was obscure, and that I'd be able to pick up some "cheap" guns. There were three Swedish 94s (94/14), a few Chileans, and a few others that I can't remember. I paid a little more than I wanted to, but probably still got this for a good price. I was glad to see the serial numbers match, and that it's in such nice shape.

Looks real nice Willy. That was a nice find. It's a good thing there weren't more bidders. Those can get carried away sometimes.
