Re: Your three picks.
To fight with:
M1 Garand
Maybe a SKS if I had to
third pick would be anything else

To use, fight with:
M1 Garand, SKS, FN 49
to own for a collection,
Some of the more esoteric German WW II stuff and a M1 Carbine and an early SVT 38

Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

Re: Your three picks.
If I were infantry, I think that an SKS would do fine. I think it is superior to the Garand for a number of reasons. The SVT-40 is too delicate and finicky. .30 carbine is too much of a light-weight. I am not familiar enough with the others to make a valid judgement.

M1 Garand, FN FAL, and SKS.
If you count WWI weapons, swap out the FAL with a M1903 with Pedersen device.

You know there is a problem when the blast and radiation radius is larger then the distance it will fire! I guess you have to pull the trigger and run like Hell!SA1911a1 wrote:dolk wrote:OH ......."fighting".......... "rifle"! ....WELL then,

I guess the only satisfaction is, your enemy died before you did (al be it seconds)
