Hate to ask a stupid question but would the Remington have been one of those caliber conversions?

Not that rifle.....it does have a replacement receiver.....1916 and 1918 are the harder Remington Mosins to find....

Thank you! No, don't have to go far to practice shoot at all.....Back in the day I had fun firing the rifles 1000 yards +, I got pretty good at it....

Thank you! That old Sony sure did take some nice pics for it's limitations compared to camera's today. My Nikon is a few years old now, but it can capture a Mosquito flipping you off at ten yards....

Fantastic collection Pahtu! Those pictures totally explain the lack of nice Mosins in Washington state, you've got them all!

LOL, my collection is pretty humble to many folks here on the forum and in WA....seems I have seen some pics of outstanding examples from the Lotema collection....

Thank you! Years ago, I knew I needed some sort of stand to hold up the rifles when I took pics of them....found some old horseshoes on the place....welded them together, had an old clothing store stand laying around.....ta da!! Instant portable rifle stand.

I remember folks back in the day on other forums.....questioning me if I used the stand to fire rifles from....no....just for pictures...

Kind of a Hermit, in fact, shop owners in the area say.....I am the only one locally who is interested in Mosins....or old milsurp in general...

Other on the forums, I know of no one very close who is remotely interested in such firearms...
