1953 Hungarian M52 sniper rifle
Been on a bit of a roll lately with Hungarian Mosin's, but this one is with out a doubt the prettiest of them. It's a 1953 Hungarian M52 sniper rifle that looks like it just came off the production line. The stock is perfect, and the bluing would rival modern sporting rifles. The rifle is all numbers matching and the scope, well that is the best part, it is a Hungarian scope, mount, and base. Snipers like this don't come along to often and I am glad I was able to acquire it for my collection.
P.S. a Special Thanks goes out to Brandon Wright for pointing out this auction for me.

Showcase for sure. Wait, I thought this was a Romanian sniper? Haha! Awesome rifle
On Facebook? Check out the non-sporter preservationist group at: OOOPS. Deleted by Facebook because it's evil to even discuss collectible firearms on social media these days.

Good find Hungarian snipers are found without Hungarian mounts and scopes? I wouldn't have run into that, I only know the one I own, that one has all Hungarian parts. Backstory with this one?
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

No real backstory on this one, a buddy of mine on Facebook pointed out the auction to me, it was listed on Gunbroker as a Romanian 91/30 sniper, and for some reason if flew under the radar.

Incredible SCORE, Congrats. Certainly looks unfired (except factory maybe) is there any marks at all on the bolt face. And yes would love to see this one in the Showcase.

Looks like it just came off the assembly line.
Re: 1953 Hungarian M52 sniper rifle
Had that one been properly listed, with even just a thumbnail pic, it could easily have been bid to $2,500-plus. It's that nice, and quality condition sells.Miller Tyme wrote: No real backstory on this one, a buddy of mine on Facebook pointed out the auction to me, it was listed on Gunbroker as a Romanian 91/30 sniper, and for some reason if flew under the radar.
No words of wisdom come to mind at this time....

Yes, I have seen that lazy seller crap time and again, sometimes it has worked to my benefit. This is why I use lots of clear pictures on anything I sell, even the five buck items.

That is a thought, don't want to be the 1st owner to scratch this gem.
