US Surcharged 1917 Remington Mosin

Post by Cj556 »

Through the help of a friend I acquired this one at a little country auction for a fraction of the usual going rate. All matching including the cocking knob, original finish with beautiful fire blue. Stock has a faint Benica arsenal cartouche. This was a gun Id wanted for a while and hot extremely lucky on.

Wow. I have never seen a US rebuild cartouche on a Mosin Nagant before - plenty of marks on M1903, 03-A3, M1917, M1 Carbine, Garand , M1911, etc.

Surely would like to see a pic of this!

I dont have the rifle with me but I dont believe it was a refurb stamp instead a surcharge stamp per the link below. Also I have a link to an ended auction with the same stamp.

That surely is a Benicia Arsenal rebuild stamp!

First one I've seen. Hopefully we'll see yours soon, too.
