My New CZ-52
My New CZ-52
At lunch today I stopped by the local gun shop and picked up the CZ-52 that I put into lay-a-way a few weeks ago. It looks to have been made in 1954, was imported by Tennessee Gunworks and has matching serial numbers on the frame, slide and barrel. I haven't had time to strip it apart yet, or even play with it that much but I really like this pistol. It feels good in the hand, the action is smooth and its built like a brick sh** house. Its a tad heavy, but man is it a solid pistol. Enough jibber jabber, here are the pictures.

Here are a few pictures of the holster. It would be nice to know what the text reads inside the flap, but I think its too worn to make it out.

It came with 30 rounds of ammo and 3 clips.

Re: My New CZ-51
You will like how it shoots too. I have 2, one in 7.62X25 and one in 9mm.
FREEDOM...USE IT OR LOSE IT!!
Re: My New CZ-52
I would like to find the 9mm barrel. Maybe I will see one pop up on an auction site one day.

Re: My New CZ-52
What is the date (two numbers) following VOZ (refurb location) stamp? Great looking gun, looks to be black versus the grey parkerized finish on mine.

Re: My New CZ-52
Holster reads:
Top line: KOZAK 6 and "Crossed swords"
Bottom line: OTK MAJDOVA
Hand written part beneath that, good question. Might need to put a color filter over it to read it.

Re: My New CZ-52
I think it's 85. The top of the numbers is not stamped good, but you can kind of make out the shape of an 8 and a 5. Next to that is a 91 so I assume it was refurbished twice?ffuries wrote:What is the date (two numbers) following VOZ (refurb location) stamp? Two dates mean two refurb dates that is what I have been led to believe.BubbaDX wrote:I think it's 85. Re: My New CZ-52
The inside of the holster flap apparently reads "KOZAK 6" and has the Czech Army crossed swords. Very cool. Looks like all I am missing is the lanyard.

Re: My New CZ-52
That is very helpful, thanks. Now that you say that, I can just make out the letters. Very cool!

Re: My New CZ-52
You are gonna like it. I know there is a thread going about dry firing. This is one pistol that dry firing is a no-no. Classic firearms has some ammo for it, so does J&G if you like surplus like me.
Re: My New CZ-52
Great looking gun. I have a CZ82 that really shoots well.

Re: My New CZ-52
My replacement rollers and firing pin came in today. I also picked up 2 boxes of ammo yesterday. This weekend I am going to shoot this CZ-52.

Re: My New CZ-52
Today I shot my first 50 round through this cz 52. What great shooting pistol. Very manageable recoil and pretty darn accurate. Here is my target. I was shooting the sellier bellot 85 grain bullets at roughly 7 yards.

Bubba, I have a 9mm barrel that I will never use. I don't own a 9mm pistol. If your interested let me know. I've never even fired a round through it.

Re: My New CZ-52
If Bubba isn't interested in the 9mm barrel I would be interested. Definitely and most positively.
Re: My New CZ-52
I am definitely interested. Send me a pm with what you want for it. I'll pm you my address so you can figure in shipping.OregonShooter wrote:Bubba, I have a 9mm barrel that I will never use. I don't own a 9mm pistol. If your interested let me know. I've never even fired a round through it.
