Sellier & Bellot commercial. I did really well with Albanian milsurp, but had a few zingers.

Czech surplus blue box. Honestly though, each rifle is different. I have a rifle that will not shoot russian for crap, but bulgy shoots great.

That's a loaded question.... pun intended! :chuckles:

For me, I'm either shooting for fun and I will use surplus ammo and maximum accuracy, or difference in accuracy between surplus plays no role. OR I'm shooting for results and I use hand loads.

1980 Bulgarian 147 Grain FMJ (corrosive surplus light ball). I have one rifle that likes heavy bullets, so in that one I shoot Brown Bear 174 Grain FMJ (commercial, non-corrosive).

My 2000 round opinion on this is, If rifling is strong, I can't tell much difference, My personal preference is non-silver tip Bulgarian '80s . If rifling is just decent, you will get better groups with any new soft point or non steel core than you will surplus. It's a softer bullet and adheres to the rifling better. That's been true for Enfields and Mausers as well......SBP 63MN's

Hungarian light ball, and Czech light ball. And my handloads, of course.

Can't give a blanket ammo choice, each rifle has its' favorite.
