Sorry if bumping after a year and a day is a problem, but if there ever was a thread more bump-worthy, I haven't come across it yet.

Thank You Howie for sharing a peek at your fine collection. I bet that room even smells awesome ! I don't expect I'll ever see it's match.

I could spend HOURS in that room. I am borderline obsessed with militaria of all sorts. My wife can tell when Ive made a connection with something when we go to antique stores or flea markets. She knows the look in my eye and doesnt even try to stop me. Lol

This is my most favorite site I always like to come back for a look to see if I can see something I missed. I even use a magnefying glass on some of the blow up copies I've copied on my laser printer. Thanks again for sharing a great collection :vcool: :vcool: :vcool: JGC

Your the Man, Excellent Collection Sir :!: :Drool1:

What can you tell me about this Chinese SKS, I bought it from Gun Broker in October this year it has the 316 Arsenal Mark,
all matching serial numbers.

What year do you think it was manufactured and was it made for export only ?

with most all Chinese sks we have no information as to what when or where . I use the date system as most often used for triangle 26 guns so 23 may possibly be a 1979 gun It is definitely Military.

Late seventies is the date I have been told before and I even tried to make contact with the Importer "KFS" in Atlanta, GA but
they would not respond to my Inquiry as to the date made and info about Arsenal 316 in China ?

Thank for your input....

I'm glad this thread keeps getting bumped. Are these wonderful rifles still for sale? I haven't seen one at a gun store in many moons.
