This M91 never got a full set of pics taken of it before, I think I shot a few and showed it with the 1942 Tikka back in 2006. It's a special rifle even for a Finn, it's a brand new unissued Finn built Tikkakoski M91. Made in 1943 and never issued, it's not even SA stamped, brand new barrel and stock, the blue is not worn off the muzzle, the polish is still on the bolt. The receiver is scrubbed of it's date, the bore is brand new. There are probably other unissued M91's, I have a couple of unissued M39's and even an unissued Tikka M91/30, but only one unissued M91. I was making a list yesterday of Finn M91's and this one wasn't on it because I forgot I had it, I was unwrapping M91's a short while ago and this one was labeled 1940 M91, another M91 I forgot about, now to just find it. Well in any event, here it is near five years late.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

That's cool Jim. I especially like seeing the rifling in that one picture. It gives you an idea what these might look like in newer condition. Though I have some with nice shiney bores with strong rifling it's nice to see one that I can do some comparision with. You can really see how strong the lands are on that one. Very very nice.
Other than the arsenal test rounds and a hundred or so rounds I put through it this barrel is brand new. They Finnish army never even stamped this rifle, just stuck it into storage.

It's always shot very well, easily within 3 MOA at 100 yards using commie ammo, pretty much dead on at that range too elevation wise. I was shooting this one back in the 1990's.

I just said I shot it, probably around 1500 rounds through it, Back in the 90's this was one of three Mosins that I shot all the time, the other being the M24, or the M28/30. I shoots very well.
