Newest Acquisition

Post by iwuzwhatiwuz »

I thought this one had fallen through the cracks but the guy emailed me back yesterday. And so with out further ado here is my Belgian Army Flintlock.

Image

It's in relic condition and will never be fired again. It will look nice in a shadow box with my Remington New Model Army. I got the pistol for $80.I post some better photo's when the sun comes up.

 nice!
Let me make a short, open, blanket comment. There are no good guns. There are no bad guns. Any gun in the hands of a bad man is a bad thing. Any gun in the hands of a descent person is no threat to anyone--- except bad people. -- Charleton Heston

Guns are not good, they are not evil. Save those descriptions for the people holding the firearm. -- Unknown

Neat. Thanks for sharing
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

You understand that's an enormously good deal on a period flintlock of any kind right? Dug up out of the ground this sort of thing goes for more than that. :)

I have been extremely blessed with finding the deals I have lately. I think it will look great above the fire place with my CVA Kentucky rifle :)

Here are the better pictures I promised.

A "B" with a crown. It won't go to full cock just half. The trigger will fall at about 1lb (!) and the bore is fairly clean.
