What happened to the hardware that came with your PU?
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

I have one of the Century PU rifles which was a hex receiver 1929 I bought a former 44 dated sniper and want to re install the mount on it. When I went to remove the scope mount they had used thread locker and the screw heads got torn as they were not hardened also the pins were destroyed trying to get them out they were also locked in as the holes they drilled were oversize. I want to get new screws and pins that is all I need.

Sounds like the legendary Century quality I am familiar with from other things they have built.
