Re: Good price for an M39?

OK, thank you everyone, I know I was asking a lot but you made me go back and buy it, I'll start a new thread. :D

The one thing I was mistaken on was the date, it's only a single.

Re: Good price for an M39?

I think now it was an M91, and for $400 I don't think it was a good deal either?

Re: Good price for an M39?

Double dated 1925 and 1942, Tula hammer throughout, all other markings scrubbed, SA stamped down near the wood. M91 sights back and front, M39 or M91 :?: It's marked as an M39 but my knowledge of Finns is such that I really don't know. This is why I didn't buy it yesterday, I want to make sure I kn...

Re: Good price for an M39?

It's a Finn captured M91, 1925 hex with a 1942 date stamped below the 1925.

Good price for an M39?

I saw one at Cabella's yesterday and I was wondering if I was a dumbass leaving it there. Double dated 1925 and 1942, Tula hammer throughout, all other markings scrubbed, SA stamped down near the wood. M91 sights back and front, beautiful stock. It looked like it had seen some use but was not beaten...

Re: Bought another crate

I managed to sneak the crate into the house this morning. :)

I like this Romanian, it has hinges and latches on the crate, much better quality than the Russian or Bulgarian! :D

Re: 8mm Nambu

I find mine has very little recoil, the weight of the gun absorbs it well.

I have 2 batches of ammunition, one made out of 38 Special, and one from Mr Nambu headstamped 8mm Nambu. Mr. Nambu's feeds a lot better.

Re: Mosin malfunction.

Most here wouldn't consider driving a 70 year old car like it was a 2015 model yet we routinely spend all day at the range blasting away with 70 year or older rifles without a second thought. Things will sometimes break, it happens, replace the broken part, buy a spare in case it happens again at s...

Bought another crate

Boy those prices have gone up! I always buy from the same place and this crate was $70 more than the first one I bought three years ago! Not that I actually needed to buy a crate, I just believe in stocking up. I bought some Romanian this time, I've never had any of that, I I assume it goes ban just...

Re: Maybe buying a new gun soon?

Unfortunately the PSL is out of the budget range I'm looking it. I'm thinking about the VEPR in 7.62x54r because I have enough ammo to feed if for a while. I don't have anything in 7.62x39 so I'd be building that collection up from scratch.

Re: Maybe buying a new gun soon?

How far out from the city you moving Mike? I would love to have a piece of land in the country on a lake property somewhere. Maybe some day. As for new guns, watch the sale ads here on RMNF. There has been a lot of good stuff popping up for sale lately. Not too far, we still have to commute to work...

Re: Maybe buying a new gun soon?

Your moving to the " country" Is that something called country but is really suburbia, or real country? If it's real country then there might be bears, get something in .300 Winchester Mag. Real country. Fortunately we don't get too many bears around here, I would worry more about two leg...
