Re: Deer processing class
 See, it's easy! So far, I haven't had a chance to do one this year; Muzzleloader starts tomorrow, and there's a doe-only season Dec. 6-13. Maybe I'll go hunting on my BD. 8-) It's antlerless season here now, alternative firearms (muzzleloader and pistol) starts mid December, I'm going to...

Re: If you can't shoot it, shoot it.
All I saw tonight was turkeys!
I have my managed hunt next week, hopefully that will get me something, then I'll be trying the alternative methods too.

Re: Company Pistol League
I need to practice with my BP revolver a lot more, for some strange reason they won't let me shoot it at the indoor ranges.

Funny thing is, three of my co-workers also work part time at Cabela's, two of them behind the gun counter.Longcolt44 wrote:We only have two members on the gun store. " fondle anything we have," club. Firearms, I'm talking about firearms.

Re: Company Pistol League
I'm using my Ruger Security Six, I'm doing pretty well with it. So far I've also shot one Springfield 9mm, the trigger on that sucks as much as my XDs trigger, two Glocks, a 9mm and a .40, I liked the .40, soft shooting and accurate. I've shot two Beretta 9mm pistols, one with a trigger job, I'm not...

Company Pistol League
I thought I had mentioned this before but can't find it. One of my coworkers came up with the idea of a company pistol league, I work for a company with a lot of firearm enthusiasts, hunters and competitive shooters, the biggest complaint everyone has is that we don't shoot often enough, the idea wa...

Re: If you can't shoot it, shoot it.
Yeah, he wasn't happy to see me, he stood there stomping his hoofs, but I never moved and eventually he gave up and just roamed off. He was only 20 yards from me, what I didn't see until I moved and they took off where the two huge deer behind him! However, I now know where I'm going to hunt deer du...

Re: Deer processing class
Someone found this and posted it on the Facebook page for our local High school. You couldn't get away with doing that in a lot of places around the country but this is Louisiana, Sportsman's Paradise and well just about everyone hunts here so most people not only appreciated it but wished they wer...

Re: Deer processing class
When I was 16 I lived in a country where all you could do was hunt rabbits with an air rifle, unless you were seriously wealthy. I'm happy to learn the skills now that other people had the chance to learn at an early age.

Deer processing class
One thing I love about Missouri is the Department of Conservation and the great things they do for wildlife, hunters and outdoorsy people. I hunt on their lands, I camp on their lands, I hike on their lands, everything is free. Tonight I attended a deer processing class, also free. I learned to turn...

Unlikely, I've never sold a gun. However, you could try tempting me with a trade.bunkysdad wrote:I would like to take a old 12" group shooter like that and see what I could do with cast bullets. Can I buy your T53? maybe a trade?
