Good day to all. Just thought I would share some pics of my" new to me " Australian marked Victory. I dont know much about it at this point other than the numbers match, it doesnt appear to have been used since FTR , and it has it's box, papers and ,cleaning rod. Serial number dates it to...

Re: New to M1 Garand... What I get?
You did extremely well.. Congrats . British Nitro Proofs (BNP) definitely say lend lease to me . Serial number puts its born on date at November of 41. As the others have said, do the normal checks then go enjoy it. One shot and you will be hooked. Insofar as ammo goes , you will best served to sho...

That would be be a safe assumption in my opinion. Now you need to get the other British revolver , a Webley.

"Does anyone know of a webpage that has a list of stamps?? I think this is a 42 (barrel stamp), but it does not have the crown stamp or model number on it. It instead has a DT* stamp and a FT / 32 stamp. The grips seem to be Bakelite?? its defiantly not wood. " Here is a link to a site tha...

I think a pic is missing in your thread. The photos posted show the receiver end of the barrel , which look completely normal.

Re: 44 ivzhevsk sniper
what is a good average purchase price? I found a guy close to home has one, says numbers all match, on barrel, magazine, bolt and mount. he wants 600 firm for it. Study study study , before you go look at it ... It is easy to get duped when buying a PU. There are a great many fakes out there that l...

A 1953 M44 would be Polish . And if truly in unfired condition , $650 isnt too out of line..

Rifle is a Tikka which makes it a bit less common. It's biggest plus is that it appears to have not been messed with at all since being imported. I think $375 is more than fair for that rifle.

If it is truly a non refurb (original blued finish and not the cerakote looking black) ,the stock is solid and not a laminate, numbers match, and is an Izhevsk , buy it now...

Re: KRU1 Stock marking on a M91/30 - Finn
People tell me sometimes how did I learn all I supposedly know and I will be the first to say I can not tell of their validity and as I said I know of people and not Finn's or Germans using those stamps often on rifles that never saw anything on Germany or Finland. It does happened and I don't know...

Congrats on a sweet purchase. Quite an uncommon bird you got there.. I too have bought from this seller and was not disappointed.. He must have quite an extensive Mosin Nagant collection as he has been selling some really cool stuff for quite a while.

Re: This is my rifle....(M1 Garand)
CMP field grade with a ME 1 / TE 1 is a great find. That is service grade at the CMP nowadays. With a 46 dated barrel and those measurements I would bet it hasnt been used since rebuild. Great rifle ...

Re: This is my rifle....(M1 Garand)
Very nice rifle . That serial number gives it a born on date of Nov. 43. What is the date on the barrel ? Looks to be wearing a late Springfield stock with plugs where a grenade sight used to be mounted. The Garands produce a sickness much more serious than Mosinitis as it hits you harder in the wa...
