Re: receiver marks

This is the circle k on the M91/30 The point of aim proof means that the sights are properly adjusted and it hits where you aim it... Drat! I was hoping it meant it was kosher and I could look for a rifle that comes with chopped liver. There's not a single place in this whole town where a guy can g...

Re: Look what I got in the mail today

Holy Crap! I haven't met anyone that knows what Scrapple is. I grew up on that stuff. Fried with eggs and fried potatoes...umm man that's some good eatin'. When I lived in California the local Savemart carried it and then stopped. I asked the butcher why they stopped carrying it and he said he used...

Re: Cant find non-corrosive 7.62x54R

Cabelas was selling the PPU for about $15/box. It's non-corrosive and reloadable brass. Not sure if it's still available but for a while you could get "bulk" PPU with a free plastic ammo can. 100 rounds is really just 5 boxes taped up. Not really bulk. And the plastic ammo can is OK, but n...

That 7 thousandths case swell is how the chamber gets sealed to keep gas blowback from getting out the back when the round ignites. It's supposed to do that.

I picked up on when he said "That's why I keep you around." I have no explanation on it though. I would say this is go OT, but it was a bubba thread to begin with so who cares! have you seen a thread on here that actually did stay on topic? thats why I love it here, it stays interesting a...

Re: Decocking Procedure Mosin Nagant

I think almost all have the little click spot. Just past vertical. If it doesn't close nothing is wrong with the rifle. I have used this to test springs though. If it closes and doesn't have the good snap on closing then the spring is a little weaker usually. :D The click spot at the top of the bol...

Re: 10 round mosin nagant magazine

I doubt you could sell one per hundred extant rifles. Maybe one per five hundred. But it really depends on price point. If they're $100 ea then almost no one would do it. If they were five bucks almost everyone would at least give them a try because the downside is negligible. Somewhere in the middl...

Re: Tornado Brushes

I may run a brush through mine a couple of times, maybe, but i like to use a worn brush with a cotton patch wrapped around it. It runs the patch throu fairly tight, then I switch over to a 30 caliber jag and continue with cotton patches. With Hoppes #9 on the patches until it is as clean as I want,...

Re: thread size of the barrel end

I think if you take off the grenade launcher you may be making the Yugo an illegal weapon. Someone chime in. I don't yet have an SKS, so I'm on thin grounds here. How long is the barrel? If the barrel is over 16 inches long without the launcher then there shouldn't be an NFA problem. If it is not o...

Re: Shooting low?

Some are just right. They all seam to shoot different. I need to get a note book and start keeping notes on my different rifles -- so I remember how each one shoots. JB I keep my notes directly on the targets as I examine them at the range, then stack the targets chronologically in my drawer about ...
