1953.9 matching T-53
Hows about an all matching T-53 for your viewing pleasure? Possibly showcase worthy? Made in 1953.9, and has a cryllic letter preceding the serial... Pics are before any cleanup. Bottom one is the all matching one(top one[1954.1] is not in bad shape either but will have it's own thread) http://i1110...

School me on M38s
Don't know too much about them. How much more is one in a correct M38 stock worth compared to one in an M44 stock?
Thanks guys!
Thanks guys!

Re: My T-53
Direct from the importer, Century International Arms, you need to have an 03 FFL or better to order from them.Dan4good wrote:where are you ordreing these incomplete rifles? Why is it the wood on the T53's is in so much worse shape than every other mosin is it the chinese wood?
They were not refurbished.

They are the good incompletes, hard to pass up for $66 bucks a pop :Drool1: :big shock:  Now I have a 1954, 1955 and 1956... The one stock should be an easy fix, the other, not sure yet as the piece is missing....

Re: My T-53
Hey drapnor, I have to ask about the hole in the stock on the right side rear. Was there a metal "button" looking disk in the hole? That is exactly where mine has a round metal part pushed into the wood. I never stuck anything in the hole, but I'll check now for you. I have a feeling it w...

Re: My T-53
Thanks guys! Isn't 1956 the first year of these?
I like it so much I ordered two more. Rolling the dice on 2 of the good incomplete ones, hell for $132 delivered for 2 carbines how could I not?
They go so nicely with the "sino-albanian" sks', now I'll have three of each

My T-53
Here is the T-53 I got a while back. I forgot to take pics and post it up. The sling and cleaning rod did not come with it. All matching except the bolt. Stock has dings, gouges etc but no cracks. It looks like someone used it to break the bolt down in a couple different places http://i1110.photobuc...

'42 Izhevsk Laminate
Just got here today, 1942 Izhevsk laminate stock. '42 tang date. Not counter bored. Mag plate is lined out and re-stamped matching, everything else matches also. Stock has "repaired" toe but looks great. :Drool1: After a quick wipedown http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/h456/drabnor/IMAG0...
