Re: My wifes valentine's day present

Nice. All I bought my wife was a sun visor for her side of my jeep. :chuckles: <<<See why I don't buy her a firearm.

Re: 1945 Izhevsk M38

Nice. I bought one off GB that said it was a '45. After I took off the "non drilled" sight, that 5 sure looked like a 3 to me and a bunch of other people. :D So the hunt continues. Nice Score!!!

Re: Thank You to the RMNF.

I want to take this time to thank all the members as without them we admins would have to talk to each other. What some of you might not know is that with the exception of Erik and I, none of us admins have ever met face to face. Darryl is shy, Jim knows every curse word ever said, Ron just can't w...

Re: SMLE to own one is to love one

Before Kari passed away, he was researching the history behind this one. He was really impressed with it. He mentioned to me about the mag and told me that was very uncommon due to FTR and other things like that. That's the only reason I had known. :geek:

That's beautiful. Handguards can be hard to find. I have a P26 that is missing on. Or maybe it's and M24? I need to go check  Once my heart beat settles.

Re: SMLE to own one is to love one

BD, That is a nice Enfield you have there. I never liked them until I held on in my hands. Great find   Really nice rifle. The No 1 Mk III's did not have numbered mags. Any markings on the receiver? Enfield markings give a lot of information. I have the rifles cousin, A BSA made ...

Re: What's Your Best Purchase Of 2013?

Wow now that is a nice Jeep. Until you look, you really dont know how hard it is to find one in good condition. My neighbor has taken several down to the frame for a total restore. He really wants a Willies jeep. His next project is a CJ5. Nothing against new stuff, but when you have something 30+ y...

I get a Pattern 14 as a gift, which I have failed to get pictures of. I spent all my money on an old Jeep. But I have been looking and I do still have a f...

I'd have to go with the Remington, since I have the other 3, but that NEW is nice and and a second AZF marked Finn is not bad either.

Nice  Sorry to hear about the Drill & Tap. Hate when that happens. As for the flat bolt, some are like that. I can't remember who did them tho. Your's are Yugoslavian, if my brain is working right tonight. Millman has a great mauser book. I think I have it too.... tho I can't recall th...
